Purpose:
Assist the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership. General support to location parts and sales departments.
Responsibilities:
o Answers incoming phones calls to location and directs to department needed.
o Maintain hours for hourly employees and report all PTO for biweekly payroll.
o Assists sales and parts department with related tasks as necessary.
o Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
o Assists Service Manager in his absence with opening work orders as needed.
o Monitors workorder process for timely invoicing of work completed.
o Maintains Service Department filing and records.
o Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
o May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up.
o Other duties as assigned by management
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o Basic knowledge of accounting practices
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
o Knowledge of office procedures
o General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience
